There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

In primary school, students enjoy learning a variety of subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and creative arts; they build lasting friendships through collaborative projects and playground activities; and they develop important skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork that will support their future education and personal growth.

Nuwarra had a special NAIDOC Day event with a Traditional smoking ceremony and two Aunties sharing Dreamtime stories with the kindergarten students. This is a great way to help students learn about and respect Indigenous Australian culture.

Anzac Day, 25 April, marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. We remember this and all wars by laying wreaths at the bottom of the flag pole.

National Grandparents Day is a special day to celebrate grandparents. It allows grandchildren to show love and thanks to their grandparents. This day helps children learn how grandparents can give good advice, share stories, and help them.

The Athletics Carnival is a fun sports event for students in Years 3 to 6. It usually includes different running, jumping, and throwing activities where children can take part and show their skills. The carnival helps students stay active, enjoy friendly competition, and build team spirit

Miss Oreo

Students became creative designing 'Miss Oreo' to showcase the ways the Dairy Industry in Australia is sustainable.

Amelia and Tristan are the winners of 2025 Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition.

Nuwarra's debating team are a group of students who work together to talk about different ideas. Debating helps students get better at speaking, listening, and thinking. It also helps them feel more confident and work well with others.

Father’s Day is a special day to celebrate and say thank you to fathers and father figures. It’s a time to show love and appreciation for all the things dads do, like caring for their children and helping their families. We celebrated with 'Donuts for Dads'.
